Ball Lens |
|
|
A ball lens has a shorter focal length than a normal convex lens (single
lens), so it is mainly used for condensing light.
It is used for applications such as focusing and coupling to optical fibers and collimating emitted light from fibers.
Sapphire can be used in a wide range of wavelengths from ultraviolet to
infrared (0.17 ƒÊm to 5.5 ƒÊm), and has better environmental resistance than
BK-7.
The product shown is uncoated.
