The half-wave plate is for the visible range (400-700nm). It produces a phase difference of 1/2 wavelength in incident light. When entering at θ°, a linearly polarized ray will recreate the source at the same angle upon exit.
Change the polarization direction of linearly polarized light to any angle.
For circularly polarized light, change the direction of rotation (left
rotation for right rotation).
A quarter-wave plate converts light into circularly polarized light in
the visible region (400 to 700 nm) when the angle formed by the plane of
linearly polarized light is 45°.
At any other angle, the incident light will be elliptically polarized.
Converts the linearly polarized light of a semiconductor laser to circularly
polarized light and vice versa.
Half-wave plate: ・Change the polarization direction of linearly polarized
light to any angle. ・In the case of circularly polarized light, change
clockwise rotation to counterclockwise rotation
Quarter wave plate: ・Converts linearly polarized light from a semiconductor laser into circularly polarized light and vice versa.
